When I stargaze, I usually bring a speaker to play music throughout the night… since I’m usually alone and not near anyone else to disturb their peace – hence this meme I’ve made:
I make it no secret that I am an aficionado of heavy metal music, and I especially love songs that are inspired by science and astronomy – and I don’t exclude songs inspired by science fiction either!
As such, if the lyrics have a reference to such topics, as loose as lines referencing looking up to the sky and being inspired, even if it’s just for a verse, then I have added them into such playlists on my music player. Other songs that are more references to a “heaven” I have also included for sentimental reasons.
When it comes to instrumentals, then the song title needs to be a reference as well as the music sounding, well… “spacey,” and would remind you of it.

Hello friend, I was trying to do a Space Themed Playlist and I found your song list. There’s some German Power Metal bands that had some space themed songs: Helloween, Gamma Ray and Iron Savior. Star Invasion, Mission Motherland & Skyfall by Helloween; Somewhere Out In Space album, and Anywhere in the Galaxy by Gamma Ray; Almost the entire Iron Savior discography has some Space songs.
